Mana Services is a social enterprise that is focused on providing premium care and solutions for tamariki and their communities.
After a number of years working in care services, the founders of Mana identified vital opportunities to better support our displaced and disadvantaged tamariki.
In 2020, Mana Services was launched to provide a specialised, targeted solution for youth care, support, training and development. We consider ourselves an elite care and results-focused organisation.
We uplift and elevate others by providing support, hospitality and care in mana-enhancing ways.
We act with respect, courage and integrity. Together we deliver our best at all times. We take our responsibilities seriously. This is reflected consistently in our choices and behaviour.
We exercise patience and tolerance in overseeing the care of young people from troubled backgrounds. We are mindful of their needs and meet them where they are at.
Our team is familiar with the communities we work with and seek to unpack their challenges and resolve them together.
We acknowledge the significance of our role as mentors and strive to be excellent role models for the young people in our care.
Growth & Transformation
We nurture personal growth in our young people by providing an environment that elevates tamariki.
Mana offers intensive support through mentoring programmes and care services by partnering with whānau to deliver excellent outcomes. We implement four key elements: (1) Care, Mentoring, Programmes, and Whanau.
As we bring all four elements together under one umbrella, we reduce the number of services that are working with each tamaiti and increase accountability. This allows for real and lasting change in the families that work with us.
Our service frameworks draw inspiration from the Te Whare Tapa Whā model. As a care provider we recognise the value in a holistic, kaupapa Māori approach for supporting tamariki.
Whānau first. Working with both tamariki and their whānau drives engagement and real outcomes.
Mentor-led Care (Kaimahi Taiohi). Our kaimahi provide 24/7 care while acting as mentors and positive role models for tamariki.
We aim to significantly reduce the “foot traffic” in the lives of tamariki.
We work with the community to create programmes that are relevant and engaging for rangatahi. We meet them where they are at and leverage their interests to help them build a successful future.
We recognise the value of a kaupapa Māori approach in all that we do.
